ABOUT

Through her self-taught study of psychology, Kristin became familiar with the integration of Buddhist teachings into modern psychotherapy many years ago. After more intense, cross-topic dealing with Buddhism, she herself has been living for quite some time as a practicing Pali Buddhist, who now publishes a book with "Buddha Bullshit" that is not only intended to bring the reader closer to the complexity of Buddhism in simple language, but also wants to enlighten about spiritual wishful thinking, common misinterpretations and the actual core of Buddhist traditions.

"The classic among misunderstandings:
A grinning bald head with a ball belly sits in the corner of an Asian restaurant and is reverently called "the Buddha".
Some even rub his belly - for happiness, prosperity, or especially crispy spring rolls."
Who he really is?
One of the many questions the book answers.

"The Buddha was not a yoga teacher. He did not teach people how to look particularly enlightened, but how to end "suffering“.“
Of course, the down-looking dog position can also help alleviate your "suffering" in everyday life, but for a holistic approach, the "open-book exercise" is recommended.

"If you believe today's wellness accounts, mindfulness gurus, and lifestyle coaches, then Buddhism is above all one thing:
A stylish lifestyle project – clean, vegan, minimalist. Full of ritual sets made of bamboo and linen, and of course, with soul food. And the latter comes best in the form of a color-coordinated Buddha bowl, which of course has as much to do with a "Buddha" as a smoothie with enlightenment."
Are you ready to find out how unsexy Buddhism actually is?
Go on a journey to the origin and find out in the book.

"You want to understand what Buddhism is really about, finally?
No problem, you tell yourself - just google it briefly: "Buddhism + meaning + origin".
Ten seconds later, you're enlightened. Congratulations!"
Maybe you'd rather read the book instead.
